A PETITE NICHE PUBLISHER
Homing Words is a petite, self-managed publisher dedicated to literary translation. Its initiative Women Who Translate Women focuses on publishing translated literary works written by women authors, both contemporary and from the past.
Alongside its commitment to affirming the value of translation as an art form, another central aim of the initiative is to recognise and bring greater visibility to women’s presence in literary translation. It seeks to highlight the work they are already doing and the important place they hold within the field. This is why all the professionals involved in bringing each translated work to publication are women.
Created in 2014 and evolving into its current form in 2024, Homing Words celebrates the beauty of the Spanish language and honours the mission of helping stories in English find a new home in the Spanish-speaking world.
This collaborative initiative aims to publish independently or in partnership with other publishers. We would be delighted to see our translations reach readers in other Spanish-speaking regions beyond Argentina, where Homing Words is based.
We are always happy to connect and collaborate to find new homes for these works. You can get in touch with us at editora@homingwords.com.
